The Closing of public libraries

A new favorite political football in the UK right now is the assertion that public libraries all over England must be closed in order to deal with budgetary concerns.

Philip Pullman is an author who I know best for his novel the Golden Compass. At this link he outlines the basics of the situation and then links to a statement he made on the issue. 

It can't be long before politicians on our side of the pond start to consider similar efforts. Now is the time to think about where you stand and what actions you might take.
